Hope Conference 2023: Shaping the Future with Education
It was with great enthusiasm that 220+ delegates from around the world finally met for the long-awaited HOPE Conference in Milan, Italy. The Covid 19 pandemic had seen the postponement of the 12th biannual event in 2020 and then again in 2022.
It was with great enthusiasm that 220+ delegates from around the world finally met for the long-awaited HOPE Conference in Milan, Italy. The Covid 19 pandemic had seen the postponement of the 12th biannual event in 2020 and then again in 2022.
Delegates with a passion and interest in the role of hospital education in the lives of children and young people living with medical and mental health conditions met to share research, practice, and experience. Maria and Martin from Well at School presented their work on “Education Re-imagined.”
Delegates were invited to respond to our questions:
- In what ways did you adapt your teaching during the pandemic to ensure your pupils could access learning?
- How can we ‘re-imagine’ education for children with medical/mental health needs using your experience of teaching during the pandemic?
We will be collating the responses along with responses from the UK. If you wish to contribute the Questionnaire is still open here. If you would like to know more about HOPE, Hospital Organisation of Pedagogues in Europe, you can find information here. You can also find all presentation and workshop abstracts on the conference website.
